Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Hypeman: Car Startup Sounds iPhone app (“Hypeman”, “the app”), offered by Nicolás Acosta (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). If these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted.

1. Drive safely

Hypeman is designed to play automatically so you never have to touch your phone while driving. Do not set up, browse or use the app while driving. Keep your attention on the road, keep intro volume at a safe level, and always follow traffic laws. You are responsible for how you use the app in your vehicle.

2. Subscriptions

Hypeman offers a free version and an optional subscription, Hypeman Pro:

• Annual: includes a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, then renews yearly.
• Weekly: no free trial; renews weekly.

Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or when the free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies.

Pro includes AI voice intros up to the monthly limit shown in the app. If your subscription ends, Pro features — including Pro sounds or your own intros set to play automatically — are replaced by free options.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the text you write and the audio you record or upload (“Your Content”). You give us a limited license to process Your Content only as needed to provide the app — for example, to turn your text into an AI voice intro. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the rights to use it.

You agree not to use Hypeman to create or play content that:

• infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• impersonates a real person or misleads others into thinking a real person said something;
• is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise harmful.

4. AI-generated voices

AI voice intros are created by an automated text-to-speech service. The voices are synthetic and are not the voices of real people. Results may occasionally be inaccurate or unexpected.

5. Third-party names and trademarks

Some intros mention car brands for fun (for example, “Welcome to [brand] Airlines”). All brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Hypeman is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any car manufacturer. Apple, iPhone and CarPlay are trademarks of Apple Inc.

6. How the app works

Automatic playback relies on Apple’s Shortcuts app and on your car’s Bluetooth or CarPlay connection, which we don’t control. Timing and behavior can vary by car, phone and iOS version, and we can’t guarantee that an intro will play every time. Some features require an internet connection.

7. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. We may suspend access for users who violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the app, including use while driving.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll change the effective date above, and continued use of the app after changes means you accept them.
